So today it has rained rather a lot, and the orange alert this afternoon means, I think, lots of rain, and at 12.30pm I've abandoned my intention of going to bed at a reasonable hour and resorted to posting nonsense on my neighbour's facebook wall and abusing a mate of my daughter's who joined in. All on account of the sound of torrential rain pouring off the roof and the thunder crashing round from Maro to Torrox and back again. But a car has just gone up the road and it was driving not floating so maybe the road is still a road.........after last year, a lot of rain makes us a bit nervous up here. Especially the cats, who haven't got lifejackets.

So entirely in the spirit of absurdity which makes me find it hilarious bantering with my neighbour on facebook when we are only metres apart in the flesh, I've just checked the weather forecast on the My Nerja site. Tony, if you ever see this, I hope you won't mind me taking the proverbial, it's not personal but just look at this :

Overview

The good news is that the climate in Nerja is one of the best in Europe.  The town basks in the sun for at least 300 days of the year, with over 200 of those being more or less cloud free."

Well I thought it was funny...........
